The Italian Job
Hello, well was Monday morning, the meeting was set up at 10.00 at Palazzio Price… Via Monterosa 91 with Leo I. (former AIESEC Ecuador MCP, Italian MC member, Ceed, and with some more @ career). He met us and talked with Paola R. who welcomed us to PwC
We signed the agreements, the contracts and all went fine, then, we went to another government office to get out “Codice Fiscale”, Italian analogy for Peruvian RUC. After, we went to have lunch with my new colleagues…
1.- Wake up around 7.30 – 8.00 (up to how far is the office from home), they take a shower and go to work.
2.- They start at 9.00 around, first, they go to grab a coffee, normally at a coffee machine, they make real coffee!!!! like at a "cafeteria" not Nescafe or something related... after coffee and daily comments of news and all, they go back to work (actually, “start” working) like 30 min. after…
3.- Between 12.30 and 13.00 they go to have lunch, at “Cantina” that means, to the company’s employees’ dining room… (cantina in Spanish stands for a place where people use to go to get drunk… but here, is a place to eat, and also, people use to go to BARs to have lunch…)
4.- They use to go out from work at 18.00 – 18.30, is the time when all public transportation is a real mess, since all the people wants to get home and after, they go to somewhere else to have dinner or a coffee or beer…
That is a normal day for Italian’s work style…
I’ll tell you more… next time… so, keep in touch!!!
